Starlink Mission Overview⇢

SpaceX has raised $1.3 billion this year, which Musk has said is largely to build and launch Starlink satellites.⇢

SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell said the goal is to complete six to 8 Starlink launches to get sufficient coverage to start offering the service to consumers in 2020. “We need 24 launches to get global coverage,” So far, SpaceX has demonstrated data throughput of 610 megabits per second (Mbps) in flight to the cockpit of a U.S. military C-12 twin-engine turboprop aircraft.⇢
